Scope of Application
The RSB5L-F63 series Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) is suitable for circuits with AC 50Hz, rated voltage up to 400V, and rated current up to 50A. It is designed for residential and similar applications, offering protection against leakage and overload to prevent fires or personal injuries caused by leakage or electric shock. Additionally, it provides overvoltage protection against excessive voltage caused by grid faults.
The RSB5L-63 series RCCB is a current-operated electronic RCCB, composed of the RSB5 circuit breaker and a residual current trip unit. When a leakage or electric shock occurs in the protected circuit, and the leakage current (I△) reaches the operating value, the breaker will instantly disconnect the power supply. This ensures leakage and electric shock protection. The RCCB also offers overload and short-circuit protection for circuits.
The circuit breaker complies with standards IEC61009-1:1996 and GB16917.1 “Residual Current Operated Circuit Breakers with Overcurrent Protection for Household and Similar Uses (RCBO) - Part 1: General Rules.”
Normal Operating and Installation Conditions
? Altitude: ≤2000m.
? Ambient Air Temperature: Not exceeding +40°C or lower than -5°C, with a 24-hour average not exceeding +35°C.
? Humidity: At +40°C, the relative humidity must not exceed 50%. At lower temperatures, higher humidity is permissible (e.g., 90% at 20°C), accounting for condensation due to temperature changes.
? Installation Environment:
? Free from impact, vibration, or rain/snow intrusion.
? No explosive medium, and free from gases or conductive dust sufficient to corrode metal or damage insulation.
? Pollution Degree: 2.
? Installation Category: III.
? Electromagnetic Environment: Class B.
? External Magnetic Field: Should not exceed 5 times the Earth’s magnetic field in any direction.
? Mounting Method: Standard mounting rail (TH35-7.5). To be installed in distribution boxes, cabinets, or enclosures.
? Installation Orientation: Generally installed vertically, with a maximum inclination of ±5° from the vertical plane. The handle in the upward position indicates power-on.
