Application Range
The RSCM1 series plastic shell circuit breakers (hereinafter referred to as “circuit breakers”) are a new generation of circuit breakers designed and developed by our company using internationally advanced technology. These circuit breakers feature compact size, high breaking capacity, short arc duration, and strong vibration resistance, making them ideal products for both land-based and marine applications. The circuit breakers have a rated insulation voltage of 800V (RSCM1-63 is 500V) and are suitable for AC 50Hz/60Hz power systems with a rated working voltage of up to 690V, a rated impulse withstand voltage of 8kV, and a rated current up to 1600A. They are used to distribute electrical power and protect circuits and power equipment from damage caused by overload, short circuits, and undervoltage. These circuit breakers can also be used for circuits that are not frequently switched and motors that do not frequently start, offering overload, short-circuit, and undervoltage protection.
The circuit breaker can be installed vertically (portrait) or horizontally (landscape).
It is suitable for isolation applications, denoted by the symbol “ ”.
The CM1 plastic shell circuit breaker complies with the domestic CCC standard: GB14048.2 “Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear – Part 2: Circuit breakers,” and the international CE standard IEC60947-2:2016.
Model and Explanation
Note:
For four-pole products, the neutral pole (N) can be configured in four ways:
? Type A: The neutral pole does not have an overcurrent tripping element and remains always closed, not switching with the other three poles.
? Type B: The neutral pole does not have an overcurrent tripping element and switches with the other poles (neutral pole switches first).
? Type C: The neutral pole has an overcurrent tripping element and switches with the other poles (neutral pole switches first).
? Type D: The neutral pole has an overcurrent tripping element and remains always closed, not switching with the other poles.
Circuit breakers for power distribution have no code, while those for motor protection are denoted by “2”.
For manual operation, there is no code; for electric operation, “P” is used, and “Z” is used for rotating handle operation mechanisms.
Overcurrent tripping elements are classified by their rated current as follows:
? TXCM1-63: 6A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A, 50A, 63A (9 levels)
? TXCM1-100: 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A, 50A, 63A, 80A, 100A (9 levels)
? TXCM1-225: 100A, 125A, 140A, 160A, 180A, 200A, 225A (7 levels)
? TXCM1-400: 225A, 250A, 315A, 350A, 400A (5 levels)
? TXCM1-630: 400A, 500A, 630A (3 levels)
? TXCM1-800: 630A, 700A, 800A (3 levels)
? TXCM1-1250: 800A, 1000A, 1250A (3 levels)
? TXCM1-1600: 1250A, 1500A, 1600A (3 levels)
Note: The 6A specification is only available in the electromagnetic (instantaneous) type, which is not recommended.
The circuit breakers are available in three connection types:
? Front panel connection
? Rear panel connection
? Insert-type connection
The overcurrent tripping element types are classified as:
? Thermal-magnetic (composite) type
? Electromagnetic (instantaneous) type
The circuit breakers are available with or without auxiliary devices:
? Internal devices include shunt trip, undervoltage trip, auxiliary contacts, and alarm contacts.
? External devices include rotating handle operation mechanisms and electric operation mechanisms.
The breaking capacity is classified into:
? L: Standard breaking capacity
? M: Higher breaking capacity
? H: High breaking capacity
Main Technical Parameters
1. The instantaneous tripping characteristic setting value for distribution circuit breakers is 10In ±20%, and for RSCM1-1250 it is 7In ±20%. The instantaneous tripping characteristic setting value for motor protection circuit breakers is 12In ±20%.
2. The rated setting values for CM1 plastic shell circuit breakers are shown in Table 2.
3. At an ambient temperature of +40°C, the overcurrent tripping characteristics of distribution circuit breakers are shown in Table 3, and the overcurrent tripping characteristics of motor protection circuit breakers are shown in Table 4.
4. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp = 8kV.
