Structural Features
The RSB5 isolator switch employs a dual-break point direct-actuating contact system. For high currents, two parallel sets of contacts are used to increase the current capacity while fully utilizing power compensation. The handle’s spring-loaded mechanism ensures quick switching, overcoming the slow manual operation problem, greatly improving work efficiency. The contact status is clearly indicated with labeled markers to prevent incorrect operation and improve safety.
Installation and Usage
? Before installation, verify that the switch matches the actual operating conditions.
? Install the switch onto the rail according to the diagram; pushing the handle up indicates the switch is on (red indicator), while pulling it down indicates the switch is off (green indicator).
? Incoming power should be connected to the top of the switch, with the outgoing connection at the bottom. Ensure copper wires are tightly screwed and not exposed outside the terminal.
? Before powering on, manually operate the switch several times to ensure smooth and reliable operation with no obstruction.
? The RSB5 isolator switch must be protected from rain during storage, transportation, and use.
? It can withstand short-circuit currents under non-normal circuit conditions for a certain period and handle infrequent overload switching. However, it is not intended for breaking fault currents.
